Kathleen Fueger, PhD,
Owner, Editor & Translator
After teaching college-level English and Spanish grammar, composition, and literature for over twenty years, I established Chapter 3 Copyediting LLC to work exclusively with fellow academics and authors to ensure that their written projects are as vibrant and polished as possible.
Throughout my career, I've evaluated and made suggestions for improvement on thousands of pieces of writing. I offer clients a critical evaluation of their work, together with creative solutions that preserve each author's intent, voice, and style.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
I earned my PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures (Spanish Language and Literature) from the University of Missouri - Columbia following completion of an MA in Spanish Language and Literature from Saint Louis University and a BS in Secondary Education/English from Bowling Green State University. I have authored or co-authored scholarly articles and have presented academic papers at regional, national and international conferences. In addition to my formal academic preparation, I am a member of key professional organizations and participate in ongoing continuing education in copyediting and translation.
